Privacy Policy
Last updated: 11 July 2026
The short version: YesHealth is your private health space. We collect only what we need to give you insights and coaching, we never sell your data or use it for advertising, and health data sent to our AI is de-identified first. You can ask us to delete everything at any time.
Who we are
YesHealth ("we", "us") provides a personal health-insights app at yeshealth.ai. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
Information we collect
- Account: your email address, used to sign you in (via a one-time link or code) and to send optional health summaries.
- Health & wellness data you connect or enter: metrics from Apple Health or an Oura ring you choose to connect (e.g. heart rate, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability, sleep, steps, workouts), body weight, meals and drinks you log, exercise, photos you take of meals/menus/pantry/scale, and any notes or context you add.
- Usage: basic technical data needed to run the service (e.g. session cookies to keep you logged in). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
How we use it
- To show you insights, trends and a personalised daily plan.
- To power the Jasmine AI guide and photo analysis you request.
- To send the health summaries you opt into (you can turn these off any time).
Apple HealthKit
- If you connect Apple Health in the iOS app, we read only the categories you approve in the HealthKit permission sheet. In full, and matching exactly what that sheet asks for: heart rate, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability (SDNN), respiratory rate, blood oxygen, sleep (in bed, asleep, light, deep and REM stages), steps, flights climbed, exercise time, active energy burned, workouts, body weight and body-fat percentage. If you instead send data from the Health Auto Export app on the web, the same categories apply plus any extra metric that app is configured to send (for example VO₂max). We request read access only and never write anything back to Apple Health.
- HealthKit data is used solely to provide your own health insights and coaching in YesHealth. It is never used for advertising, marketing or data-mining, never sold, and never shared with third parties, except that de-identified excerpts may be processed by our AI provider strictly to generate the insight or answer you requested (see AI processing below).
- HealthKit data is stored securely on our servers to build your personal baselines; deleting your account permanently deletes it. We do not store HealthKit data in iCloud.
Medication information
If you choose to tell us you use a weight-loss medication (e.g. a GLP-1) so coaching can adapt, that fact is treated as sensitive: it is never shown to anyone you share with except a doctor/clinician link you create, never used for advertising, never sold, and is deleted with your account.
AI processing & de-identification
When you use AI features (the Jasmine chat, photo advice, daily plan), the relevant content is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a response. Before it leaves our server we run automated de-identification to strip direct personal identifiers. Anthropic processes it to return your result and does not use it to train their models. We do not send your data to AI providers for any purpose other than producing the feature you asked for.
Service providers we share with
- Anthropic, AI processing for the features above (de-identified).
- Resend, sends your sign-in and summary emails.
- Oura and Apple Health, only when you connect them, to read the metrics you authorise.
- Microsoft Azure, hosts the service (data stored in the United States, West US).
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Health Connect data (Android)
On Android, YesHealth reads health data from Health Connect, steps, heart rate, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability, respiratory rate, blood oxygen, sleep, active energy and weight, only after you grant permission, and only to display and personalise your own insights inside YesHealth. Health Connect data is never used for advertising, marketing or data-mining, is never sold, and is never shared with third parties for their own use, except that de-identified excerpts may be processed by our AI provider strictly to produce the answer you asked for. We request read access only and never write to Health Connect. You can review or revoke access at any time in the Health Connect app, and deleting your YesHealth account deletes everything we hold.
Apple Health data
Health data read from Apple Health is used only to display and personalise your own insights inside YesHealth. It is never used for advertising, marketing or data-mining, is never sold or shared with third parties for their own use, is never stored in iCloud, and is not disclosed to anyone without your consent. It is stored only on our own servers (Microsoft Azure, United States). You control access in the iOS Health app at any time.
Storage, security & retention
Your data is stored on secured infrastructure (Microsoft Azure, United States, West US) in a per-user private space, protected in transit and at rest, and is never stored in iCloud. The mobile app keeps a small copy of your latest numbers on your device so it can open instantly. That copy is written to the operating system's cache area, which iOS and Android exclude from iCloud and device backups, and it is deleted when you sign out. We keep it while your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data from within the app (Settings → Delete my account) at any time, deletion is immediate and permanent, or email support@yeshealth.ai to export or delete your data.
Your choices & rights
You can disconnect a device, turn off emails, and request access, correction or deletion of your data at any time. Depending on where you live (e.g. Australia, EU, UK, California), you may have additional rights; contact us to exercise them.
Children
YesHealth is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children.
How we work out your numbers
Some of what YesHealth shows you is a measurement your device took. Some is an estimate we calculated. Those are different things and we never blur them, so here is the method behind each of the calculated ones.
- We measure nothing ourselves. Every physiological reading — heart rate, HRV, blood oxygen, respiratory rate, sleep, steps — is taken by your Apple Watch, Oura ring or phone and read by us as-is. YesHealth does not use your phone's camera, microphone or other sensors to measure heart rate, blood pressure, blood glucose, blood oxygen or body temperature, and it never will. If a number came from your device, it is your device's number and its accuracy is your device's.
- Your indices (recovery, and the per-system scores) are not clinical scores and have no validated diagnostic meaning. Each is a weighted comparison of your recent readings against your own 21-day baseline, not against a population norm. They are shown so a change in your own pattern is easy to see. A score is withheld rather than guessed when too few inputs are present, and a single input never speaks with a whole-body voice.
- Your weight forecast is a linear projection of your own logged weights, and it refuses to exist on thin data: under two weeks of history it declines to project at all, and it earns only a few days of horizon per week of history. The cone around it is calculated from your weigh-in variability, so an inconsistent weigher gets a visibly wider one. It is labelled a projection everywhere it appears, and a sudden drop is called out as likely water rather than celebrated as fat.
- Blood-marker direction describes the direction a marker typically moves with weight and lifestyle change, with a stated plausible range. It is a general expectation, not a prediction of your result, and never a substitute for an actual blood test. Where a marker is flagged, it is flagged against a vetted reference range or against the range printed on your own lab report — never an invented one.
- Estimated one-rep max from your logged sets is an Epley estimate, refused outside 1–12 reps where it is not defensible, and always labelled an estimate rather than a weight you have lifted.
- Anything written by AI is generated from the data listed above and nothing else. It is not reviewed by a clinician before you see it, and it can be wrong.
None of these outputs is a medical device function, none is diagnostic, and none should be used to start, stop or change any medication or treatment.
Not medical advice
YesHealth provides general wellness information and decision-support only, it is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Always consult a registered healthcare professional, and seek urgent care in an emergency.
